A Magnificent Transformation

Infinity Construction had the pleasure of working with a great client on transforming his house into a magnificent home. We were originally contracted to complete a basement and as that happened, much more arose. In the end, we designed and reconstructed a 3,000 square feet basement, constructed a golf simulator in an unused separate single garage, finished an outside, beautiful Four-Season Room, and aided in the implementation of a large-scale hardscape and landscape design project. The undertaking was on a large scale, to say the least.

The basement was completely unfinished, and we had to bring in all infrastructure – plumbing in the slab had to be cut and run, all electrical, all HVAC – ducting, and units, audio, soundproofing, walls, raised rooms, trey ceilings, and much more. We started by roughing the plumbing and constructing walls for all the rooms. HVAC had to be run for all the rooms and ducting for two new bathrooms including a separately zoned second Master Suite.

The rooms we created included a kitchen, sports video room, mechanical room, gym, billiards room, sitting area, card and dart room, as well as rebuilding the primary staircase to the basement from the main level. We also constructed a Four-Season Room with a new fireplace and stone surround, a home audio room on the third level, rebuilt the main entrance hall, and installed new frameless shower doors in all three baths on the main level.

With a great deal of planning, we executed our comprehensive strategy for completion in six months. The kitchen was constructed to include two large wine coolers, an ice machine, a refrigerator, a microwave, a sink, and lots of storage with a beautiful backsplash and countertops. The second master suite had a large, stunning shower, double vanities, and a water closet, and featured a spacious walk-in closet. The flooring in the secondary master was elegant prefinished hardwood.

The remainder of the basement flooring was large segment tile, compared to the sports video room, which had carpet with a tile entry and stained hardwood nosing on the level divides for stadium seating. The sports video room featured a raided serving bar with a quartz top, surround sound, three large TVs, a beautiful railing, track and area lighting, art lighting, a 42″ stained entry door, and wall color throwing homage to the Indianapolis Colts.

The billiards room featured a stunning fixture over the pool table and ample perimeter lighting to bring out the rich color of the British Racing Green Paint. The card and dart room featured an array of in-ceiling lights over the card table to accent this fantastic space. Audio was installed throughout the entire level with large TVs in every space. A special control room was constructed under the stairs to maintain and control all the audio-video systems throughout this level. We also installed a gym with a rubber floor and a mechanical room that doubled as a storage area. Overall, this newly optimized level turned out magnificently.

After this, we turned our efforts to completing the third floor into a two-channel audio room, making all necessary changes to the garage to install a golf simulator – including HVAC, assisting in the construction of the hardscape areas featuring a hot tub, a grilling area, and reimagined the coved porch into a Four Seasons Room. If that was not enough, we devised systems to aid in the home’s energy efficiency and sustainability. Infinity Construction is so proud of our team and our client’s vision coming to fruition, and the fact that his expectations have been exceeded.
