A Masterpiece in Powell

Our client contacted Infinity Construction in early 2019, and they wanted an addition to their home and a Total Refit of the house.  Infinity Construction worked with a local Architect – DK Levy – to develop a plan to add and redesign their existing home’s interior.

The plan consisted of a Three Car attached Garage Addition, Master Suite Addition, Laundry Addition, and Screened-in Porch Addition, as well as reconfiguring the Main Part of the house to become an “Open Concept.”  Additionally, the plan called for updating two Bathrooms as a whole and adding a Bathroom in the Basement, enlarging the primary Staircase in the house, adding a Mechanical Room, and finishing the Basement to include a second Living Room, a Billiards Room, and a Kitchenette.

We started in April 2019 on the project after working with the Owners and Interior Decorators on the complete and carefully made project selection.  We simultaneously began Demolition and working on the Lot Leveling and Footers to construct the new spaces.  A middle hallway originally supported the house, and in keeping with the desire to produce an Open Floorplan, Infinity Construction had to reconstruct the Roof Rafters and add an enormous amount of support that Collar Ties and Exterior Wall Support would now carry.  This job was herculean in scope and was carefully implemented to the nail by our crews following a Structural Plan developed by the Architect.

Once the addition was completed and the house was gutted, we began replacing all the new Walls, HVAC, Wiring, Plumbing, and openings to facilitate all new Windows and Doors.

Secondly, we added a new Center Island for the redesigned Kitchen to complement the new Open Kitchen Floorplan.  Additionally, we added Heated Tile Floors, New Sand and Finish Hardwood Flooring, and LVP Flooring in the new Basement Areas.  The quality of workmanship and Finishes chosen were both understated yet very elegant.

The plan called for new Hardie Siding, Painted Brick, over 21 Corbels, a new Roof Design and Color, New Gutters and Gutter Guards, New Fascia and Soffits, as well as Custom, made Awnings, and a large 20’ by 24’ Screened-in Porch with a large Style (3’ by 3’) Tiled Floor.  Finally, the house interior got all new Trim, Doors, Paint, Ceiling Texture, and Custom Mantles.  All in all, this house was new from the ground to the roof and end to end.

Thirdly, we worked to increase and modify the house access point from the road by changing the angle of approach, installing a new Drainage Culvert, and Pouring a large Driveway and Turn-around.  Additionally, we integrated carefully controlled Drainage, a large Back Patio and Grilling Area, and Sidewalks to the new Front Porch and Custom Vaulted Front Porch Ceiling.  The Front Porch also had the same large format Tile as the Screened-in Porch had, along with some seriously stout Powder Coated Aluminum Railings leading down the Custom Front Staircase.

Finally, we had our preferred Landscape Design Team develop and install the Landscaping and the Stacked Stone Retaining Walls with all the style and care this home deserved.

The project took over seven months to complete and was completed just in time for the owners to move in by January 1, 2020 (the target date).  During construction, the owners added multiple items, and with Infinity Construction’s Change Order Process, we could capture these costs and integrate them as desired.  By the end of the project, we could illustrate the capacity to stay on budget, and of course, the Owners were more than pleased.

In the end, our Clients and Family Members were so pleased that in 2020 we moved next door to begin on their Daughters home in the same fashion as we did with her Parents, our original clients.  At Infinity Construction, we are proud to build relationships and foster the trust that must be garnered to allow us to do legacy projects and carefully develop our reputation among our past Clients.
