Modern Makeover 2022
Our West Knoxville client contracted Infinity Construction to make over this early 1980s home. The home had many interesting architectural components that had not been updated since its completion. Infinity Construction got to work and developed a plan with our design team and a local interior coordinator to bring new life to this dated home. We started by redesigning the entire primary floor (kitchen, pantry, laundry, half bath, master bedroom, master bath, master closet and the future art areas and dining room).
We then turned our focus to the entry level and developed a plan for installing two custom doors to create an entry holding room. This area then led to a new balcony devoid of the closed in hip high wall overlooking the primary floor and now would incorporate a stainless-steel rail system with beautiful black square corner posts. If that was not enough, we then covered the entire ceiling with newly stained tongue and groove board in a magnificent grey hue.
This recreation of the ceiling in the main area opened for the possibilities then to accent light the entire ceiling across beams. Modifications on the main level were extensive and consisted of a new kitchen and master bath as well as half bath cabinetry, countertops and flooring along with a litany of custom finishes and features.
The kitchen would dawn all new appliances, waterfall countertops, a pop-up outlet, and an integrated bookshelf in the island. The pantry would be all new with custom cabinetry, counter tops and have a purified and chilled freshwater drink station. New plumbing, electric and HVAC were run throughout the work areas to meet the needs for all the modifications. The slab floors were cut and then scabbled to level the floors prior to all new magnificent “large spectrum” tile being installed throughout 800 plus square feet.
The master bath featured heated tile floors, custom cabinetry, custom lighting from Australia and control systems, “magic doors” that reveal no hardware were used in multiple areas and were operated with just a touch, additionally a wet room with a modern shower and an enormous tub with every bell and whistle one could ever imagine was outfitted.
Other items in this project included new trim, casing, doors, automation, a new front deck, paint throughout, carpet, custom master bedroom built-ins, custom master closet shelving, custom light support systems (designed, developed and constructed in Knoxville), plus many, many more items.
In all this six-month project went per our scheduling and in the end the clients were blown away with the transformation this house achieved. Infinity Construction is proud of all our supporting team members and the hard work they all put into this labor of love. Most importantly, though, is our clients’ love and adoration for our creation. Check out our other projects here.
