Basement Blow-out
Infinity Construction’s client came to us needing a complete restructuring of the basement of their home. Additionally, the restructuring needed to be ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant. We worked with DK Levy Architects to produce a plan that met all their needs. We took a basement shell with an unfinished laundry room and garage and rearranged it to incorporate a new Living Area, large Storage Room, Workshop, ADA bath, and a new Laundry/Mud Room. During the planning process, we found that we needed to construct a new stairwell that would work for our client. Other items incorporated into the plan were a new Access to the Back of the House, a New Deck, and Professionally Designed Exterior Landscaping.
The Interior Main room featured new LVP Flooring, New Waterproofing, New Framing, Doors (Interior and Exterior), Drywall, Trim, an Electric Fireplace, an HVAC Mini-split System, as well as new Electrical and new Knock Down Ceilings. We constructed a Beautiful Stone Façade around the new Electric Fireplace with a magnificent, raised Hearth and a custom Floating Mantle.
The Full bath featured an ADA Shower, ADA Toilet with wheelchair access, ADA Cabinetry with Quartz tops, and new Exhaust Ventilation and Lighting. Our client needed some additional Storage in the Bath, so we installed a Barn Door with access to the unused portions under the Stairs and finished that area with Lighting and Custom Shelving to satisfy their needs. As a result, our client now has a magnificent retreat.
Finally, we finished the interior with a spacious Mud Room and Laundry with ADA access to the Carport. The Laundry/Mud Room has a Mini-split HVAC system, LVP flooring, and a spacious Laundry Tub Sink.
Once we completed all of the original projects on time and within budget, the homeowners’ asked that we prepare a plan to update the exterior of their house. We installed new Siding, a new Roof, Fascia, and Flashing, Waterproofed the Old Brickwork on the Chimney, and new Gutters with Gutter Guards. Now our client has a low-maintenance house that will last them throughout their lives.
